Engineered Hardwood Flooring
Engineered hardwood flooring is a layered floor with a base that may consist of either plywood, a compressed high-density fibre board or small pieces of solid wood such as oak or birch. Most of these floors come with enough hardwood on the top surface to be refinished up to 3 times.
Engineered hardwood flooring, cork, leather, vinyl, linoleum and bamboo are all available in a floating style. Floating floors simply means that the products can clicked together without the use of nails or glue. Therefore, floating floors can be installed almost anywhere including all areas of the home, above and below grade, as well as in a condo or cottage.
